MitzvahManager assignments connect a student's practice work to their preparation plan. Tutors and administrators assign a Torah or Haftarah passage, a prayer or blessing, or a TropeTrainer lesson with a due date, and students and guardians see and complete that work from their own view.
Create three kinds of assignments: Torah portion practice from the student's B'nai Mitzvah service, a specific prayer or blessing, or a TropeTrainer tutor lesson. Each assignment carries a title, optional description, and a required due date so expectations are clear. The three types map onto the resources a student is already preparing — the service passages, the prayers you enabled on their record, and the TropeTrainer lessons a tutor references — so an assignment is never busywork detached from the ceremony they are heading toward.
Every assignment links directly to the matching practice experience — the assigned passage, the prayer or blessing page, or the TropeTrainer lesson — so students go straight from their to-do list into focused practice without hunting for the right material.
Assignments move through Upcoming and Completed tabs and carry a clear status of incomplete, overdue, or completed. Work can be marked complete with a note by the student or by staff, so tutors always know what has been finished.
Assignments can be linked to program milestones, so completed practice becomes evidence toward a student's preparation goals. Overdue assignments also surface as follow-up flags on the student, keeping nothing from slipping through.
