B'nai Mitzvah Progress Tracking Across Lessons and Assignments
A student's progress is tracked through their Program's milestones, any blockers, their assignments and practice, and lesson outcomes. Milestones are the planned checkpoints; blockers are the problems you record.
Milestones come from the student's Program. Each is due a set number of days before the ceremony, so its date follows the student's own ceremony date and moves if the date moves, unless you set a custom date. A milestone is Not Started, In Progress, At Risk or Complete, and reads as overdue once its due date passes.
Completed assignments and practice sessions show work done, and a milestone can require a link to that practice. Your organization's attention rules, such as overdue assignments, no upcoming lesson, low recent practice or an approaching ceremony date, mark the students who need a look.
A blocker is a problem holding a student up, such as a scheduling conflict or an open reading question. Add one with Add Blocker on the student's Preparation tab, with a note and, if it belongs to one, the Program it affects. It stays open until someone resolves it with a note. An open blocker raises a warning, and within about six weeks of the ceremony it becomes critical.
The student's page lists what needs you under Needs you, each with one action, such as an open blocker, a milestone to update or a lesson that needs an outcome. On the Students page, each row shows the student's items, and the table view can add a Preparation column: Setup pending, On track, Needs attention or Milestones complete.
Outcomes recorded after each lesson, with tags like Well Prepared or Needs Review, add the tutor's view to the rest.
