B'nai Mitzvah Prayers and Blessings Practice in MitzvahManager

MitzvahManager Prayers & Blessings is a built-in catalog of Friday Evening and Shabbat Morning liturgy that congregations can make available to students preparing for their B'nai Mitzvah. Administrators choose which prayers and blessings their community uses, staff enable the right ones for each student, and students practice each text as Hebrew with transliteration in the practice area.

A ready catalog of Shabbat prayers and blessings

MitzvahManager includes a fixed catalog of Friday Evening and Shabbat Morning texts, so you do not have to assemble prayer sheets by hand. The catalog covers the blessings before and after the Torah reading and the Haftarah, along with prayers such as L'cha Dodi, the Sh'ma and V'ahavta, Kiddush, HaMotzi, Aleinu, and Adon Olam.

Choose what your congregation uses

On the Organization Settings Prayers & Blessings tab, an administrator selects which catalog prayers and blessings can be assigned to students. This creates a curated list that matches your community's customs, so staff only work from the texts your synagogue actually uses.

Assign the right prayers to each student

From a student's Prayers & Blessings tab, staff turn on the specific prayers and blessings that student should prepare, chosen from the organization's enabled list. Enabled prayers become available for the student to practice and can be referenced when creating assignments.

Give students Hebrew text to follow

When a student opens a prayer or blessing in the practice area, MitzvahManager shows the Hebrew text with transliteration so they can read and follow along. The transliteration style and Hebrew font come from the same Trope & Voicing settings that shape the rest of a student's practice, so the liturgy is presented the way your community reads it. It is a focused, distraction-free way for students and guardians to review the prayers between lessons, right beside the Torah and Haftarah practice they are already doing.

Frequently asked questions

Which prayers and blessings are included?

MitzvahManager provides a built-in catalog of Friday Evening and Shabbat Morning liturgy, including the blessings before and after the Torah reading and the Haftarah, plus prayers such as L'cha Dodi, the Sh'ma, Kiddush, HaMotzi, Aleinu, and Adon Olam.

Can I add my own custom prayer text?

The catalog is built in. Rather than authoring custom text, administrators choose which of the included prayers and blessings to make available, and staff enable the right ones for each student.

Does prayer practice include chanting audio?

Prayer and blessing practice shows the Hebrew text with transliteration for students to read and follow along. It is designed as a follow-along reference for the liturgy.

How do I control which prayers a student practices?

It is a two-step choice: an administrator enables prayers and blessings for the whole organization, and then staff turn on the specific ones each individual student should prepare.
